Refund Policy

1. Overview

At PluginShift (“PluginShift”, “we”, “us”), founded in 2024 and headquartered at Sector 10, Road 10, House 23, 1230 Uttara, Dhaka, Bangladesh, we are committed to customer satisfaction while providing premium WordPress and WooCommerce plugins under the GNU General Public License (GPLv3). This Refund Policy outlines the terms for refunds on eligible purchases made through our website (https://pluginshift.com) and related subdomains. Our goal is to be transparent and cooperative while limiting our liability to the fullest extent permitted by law.

This policy applies solely to purchases processed by PluginShift or our third-party payment processor, Paddle. It does not cover third-party sites, services, or actions beyond our direct control. By making a purchase, you agree to this policy and our Terms & Conditions, subject to your legal rights under applicable laws, including the GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and the Bangladesh Digital Security Act 2018.

For refund inquiries or formal requests, contact our team via the support page or at admin@pluginshift.com. We are committed to cooperating fully within legal requirements.

2. Refund guarantee

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for eligible purchases of our WordPress plugins, starting from the date of purchase confirmation. If your purchase meets the eligibility criteria below, we will process a full refund of the product price (excluding non-refundable taxes or fees) promptly after verification. Upon refund, the associated licence is deactivated.

Refunds trigger the deletion of related personal purchase data (for example, transaction IDs, licence keys, and order history) from our systems, unless retention is required for legal purposes such as tax compliance under Bangladeshi law, as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

3. Eligibility criteria

You are eligible for a refund only if your request is submitted within 14 days of purchase and meets one or more of the following clearly defined reasons:

  • Missing promised features: the product does not include features explicitly stated in its description on our website at the time of purchase.
  • Unresolved product issues: our support team is unable to resolve verified product issues (for example, bugs or functionality failures) within a reasonable time — typically 24 hours, and up to 72 hours in unforeseen circumstances — despite reasonable cooperation from you (such as providing access logs, screenshots, or requested documentation). A new feature request that requires custom or additional work is assessed separately by the support team.
  • Failure to provide promised support: we are unable to deliver the level of support specified in your purchased package (for example, premium support for paid products) within the response goal outlined in our Terms & Conditions.
  • Security vulnerabilities: the product contains a confirmed security issue that poses a risk to your site or data, and we cannot provide a fix within 7 business days of notification.

We cooperate fully in verifying eligibility and may request evidence (such as an order ID, screenshots, or logs) to process your request efficiently.

4. Non-eligibility reasons

To maintain fairness and prevent abuse, refunds will not be granted in the following cases. These exclusions protect our operations while encouraging you to review product details before purchase:

  • Requests after 14 days: any refund request submitted more than 14 days after the purchase date.
  • Lack of explanation or evidence: requests without a clear, verifiable reason or supporting documentation (for example, no description of the issue or proof of purchase).
  • Insufficient time for support: not allowing our support team a reasonable window (at least the timeframes above) to investigate and resolve reported issues.
  • Third-party conflicts: technical issues caused by incompatible third-party plugins, themes, or custom modifications, as we disclaim compatibility warranties in our Terms & Conditions.
  • Misuse or violations: purchases used in violation of our Terms & Conditions (for example, reselling without permission, or use on sites engaged in activities illegal under Bangladeshi law such as gambling or adult content).
  • Unusual user behavior: threatening bad reviews or false or unnecessary public exposure will be treated as non-refundable claims. The support team will handle such disputes and assess whether a refund applies.

Purchases made with a coupon or as part of a bundle offer remain eligible for a refund under the criteria above — contact the support team for details specific to coupons and bundles.

5. Refund process

To request a refund:

  1. Submit your request: use our support system or email admin@pluginshift.com with your Order ID and purchase date. Include a detailed reason, referencing one of the eligibility criteria where possible, along with supporting evidence (screenshots, error logs, or prior correspondence with support).
  2. Verification: we review your request within 2–5 business days and may contact you for additional information to help resolve the issue or verify eligibility.
  3. Processing: if eligible, refunds are processed within 5–7 business days (longer during weekends, holidays, or high-volume periods) and returned to your original payment method by Paddle.
  4. Confirmation: you will receive an email confirmation once processed. If denied, we will provide a clear explanation and, where applicable, suggest alternatives such as a support fix or product update.
  5. Appeals: if you believe a denial was incorrect, reply to the denial email within 7 days with new evidence for re-review.

We aim to handle requests cooperatively and transparently, but are not liable for delays due to verification, payment-processor limitations, legal constraints, or other factors beyond our control.

6. Taxes, fees & international considerations

  • Taxes: determined by your country’s tax policies and are non-refundable, even if a product refund is approved, in line with Paddle’s processing terms.
  • International customers: refunds may be subject to currency-conversion fees or delays imposed by your bank or payment provider. PluginShift is not liable for such fees or exchange-rate fluctuations.
  • Legal compliance: refunds comply with the GDPR and CCPA, ensuring no discrimination for exercising consumer rights. Requesting a refund will not affect your access to other services or support.

7. Limitation of liability

As stated in our Terms & Conditions, PluginShift provides products “as is” without warranties, express or implied. We shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages related to refund requests — including but not limited to lost profits, data loss, or business interruptions — even if advised of such possibilities. This policy does not affect your statutory rights under applicable law, such as the GDPR’s cooling-off provisions for non-customized digital goods where applicable.

8. Data handling post-refund

Upon approval of a refund, we delete related personal purchase data (transaction IDs, licence keys, order history) from our systems, except where retention is required for legal purposes (for example, tax records kept for 7 years under Bangladeshi law). Non-personal data, such as anonymized analytics, may be retained for up to 26 months, as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect legal or operational changes. Significant updates will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date. Continued use of our products implies acceptance of the updated policy. PluginShift is not liable for your failure to review updates.

10. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from this policy will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh. We cooperate fully with legal processes but are not liable for outcomes beyond our control.
